What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“"Project F" was conceived with the unique concept of a truly tactical FPS game that fuels strategic combat through the automatic generation of maps for each match, thereby eliminating the need to memorize maps beforehand.
We've strived to create a game that fulfills this concept and meets user needs, incorporating the latest trends in FPS games. However, to ensure flawless game operation, we need direct feedback from our users. Therefore, we've decided to offer 'Project F' as an Early Access title for a significant duration to gather invaluable input.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate that the game will remain in Early Access for approximately one to two years after its release. This timeframe is an estimation and may be adjusted as the game develops.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“By the time the full version becomes available, we aim to implement several additional features and fix any existing bugs.
While these enhancements won't change the game's fundamental concept or overall experience, we believe they're necessary for stable operation and an optimal user experience.
Notably, during the first phase of Early Access, ranked matches will be held 'on-season' only for a limited duration.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our Early Access version is already at an advanced stage of development.
As for game features, everything described in the "About This" section has been implemented. (See the "About This" section for details.)

We've been working on it for three years and have conducted extensive closed testing.
However, there may still be potential glitches to be discovered once the game is released to the public.
Furthermore, we plan to alternate between 'on-season' and 'off-season' periods to provide times for intensive development after release.
These 'off-season' periods will allow us to focus on planned improvements based on gathered feedback.
During 'off-season', players can still enjoy Custom Match and Training Mode, but access to 'Ranked Match' and 'Casual Match' modes will be limited.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be free to play both during Early Access and after full release.
While in-game skins and other decorative elements can be purchased, players can experience the complete gameplay without spending any money.
Importantly, purchasing items does not confer any status or ability advantages.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We highly encourage users to provide feedback and report bugs to our development team via the Steam feedback feature and our Discord server.
The Discord server is currently under preparation but will be available to the public by the time of release.”

About This Game

"Project F" is a 5-on-5 tactical FPS game, where an attacking team and a defending team engage in a battle over a defensive target known as 'The monolith'.
The defending team positions the monolith anywhere within a building and defend it for a specific duration.
Otherwise, the attacking team need to complete the hacking of the monolith in time.
Both teams also win by annihilating all of the enemy teams.

A map that is automatically generated for each match.
A new map is automatically generated for each game, where players can attack and defend.
The same map will be used during one game, which consists of up to 13 rounds, but the next game will be played on a completely new map.
Players are not expected to study a fixed map, but to understand and come up with strategies for a new map more quickly.

Characters with unique abilities.
Each of the characters in the game has unique abilities.
For example, a route that can destroy walls is a key element of strategy, showing allies the way through enemy lines.
Reefers, who can jump through space and move at a moment's notice, lead their allies ahead of the battle front.

In-game weapon purchase system.
As a bonus for defeating enemies in a round or for getting a round, you earn points to purchase weapons, armor, and gadgets.
Which weapons you purchase and when are very important choices in game making throughout the round.
